General Manager: Melbourne, Florida Reports To: President

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager with progressive senior management experience in the consumer products or distribution industry. This key leadership position will oversee all aspects of our operations, finance, sales, and day-to-day business activities while ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and strategic goals. This role will report directly to the president and will be the direct supervisor for members of our executive team. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership, financial acumen, and people management expertise to optimize performance, foster a high-engagement culture, and deliver sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with respective department heads and senior managers to effectively deliver on the following:

Human Resources Leadership: Work closely with the HR department to ensure full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, attracting and integrating top talent.

  • Design and implement training & development programs to build team capabilities and support career growth.
  • Develop and enforce HR and labor policies while promoting a positive work environment.
  • Oversee employee compensation & benefits strategies, including competitive total rewards programs.
  • Drive employee retention & engagement to maintain a motivated, high-performing team.

Financial Management:

  • Work with the CFO to lead annual financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Prepare and analyze fiscal year-end operating and financial statements.
  • Manage CAPEX budgeting and prioritization of capital investments.
  • Interpret and act on P&L statements, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
  • Monitor and mitigate FPL impact on operations and financial performance.

Sales Leadership:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure Joint Business Plan targets are achieved with multiple suppliers.
  • Ensure the sales management team conducts effective sales meetings to align the team and review performance.
  • Oversee pricing and revenue management initiatives to optimize pricing, promotions, and profitability.
  • Ensure consistent supplier call frequency requirements are met.

Enterprise Asset Management & Operational Leadership:

  • Provide overall organization leadership and strategic direction for the business.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain high performance and efficiency standards in the warehouse and delivery functions.
  • Maintain full compliance with supplier agreements, contract requirements, and obligations. Analyze and approve prospective suppliers’ contracts.
  • Actively participate in community and political involvement to represent the company positively.
  • Analyze the various types of insurance coverage, both benefits and asset protection.
  • Manage repair and replacement cycles for fleet and warehouse equipment with fleet and facilities managers.
  • Work with the IT manager to ensure all route accounting and sales data is secure, accurate, and accessible.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Progressive management experience in the consumer products or distribution industry.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional teams in HR, finance, sales, and operations.
  • Strong financial literacy with direct experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial statement analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, joint business planning, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Excellent people leadership skills with a focus on talent development, engagement, and inclusion.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, equity agreements, and community/stakeholder relations is highly valued.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with hands-on operational involvement.

MERCHANDISING (PART-TIME)

Two days per week, Saturday & Sunday, $18.50/per hour plus mileage. Responsible for Merchandising stores, moving products from the backroom to shelves and/or displays. Must have a clean driving record.
